About Us
Dr. Arastoo Mokhtari
Dr. Arastoo Mokhtari is the lead cardiologist at Universal Heart Centre.
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC), certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He is also American Board (ABIM) certified in Internal Medicine. He received his MD from Tehran University and completed his Internal Medicine and Cardiology training at McMaster University. Dr. Mokhtari is further sub-specialized in Advanced Echocardiography and Cardio-Oncology.
He is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine at McMaster University. Other than general cardiology, Dr. Mokhtari has a clinical and academic interest in structural/valvular heart disease and heart conditions in patients suffering from cancer (Cardio-Oncology).
Dr. Mokhtari welcomes cardiology consults and speaks in English and Persian.
